- Description
The crowded lobby and circulation desk of the Carnegie Library. Photograph taken during a campaign to build a larger public library to replace the Carnegie Free Library in Alliance. From label on front of photograph: Card catalog on left. Main adult desk on right. Space for one person to serve the public when at times four are needed. Notice how card catalog use interferes with patrons checking out books.
