KIDS CROWDING OUTSIDE THE BLEACHERS ENTRANCE ON OPENING DAY AT FENWAY, 1956. Leslie Jones Collection, BPL Print Department.

A group of school children, some carrying sack lunches, gather outside of the bleacher section at Fenway Park to celebrate Opening Day.

Generations of passionate Red Sox fans have filled Fenway's stands night after night, season after season, cheering on their beloved team.

While the earliest fans at Fenway Park enjoyed a quick succession of World Series championships in 1912, 1915, 1916, and 1918, the legions of loyal supporters born after 1918 waited for nearly a lifetime until they were rewarded with championships in 2004 and 2007.
