Activism in the US

The anti-abortion movement, also called the pro-life movement, is a social and political movement that opposes elective abortion and seeks to legally prohibit or restrict it, usually on moral or religious grounds.  Supporters try to reverse the 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, and hope to establish legislative changes or a constitutional amendment (e.g., Human Life Amendment) that would prohibit or at least restrict legal abortion.  The movement includes many activists and a variety of supporting organizations.
